Crystal Head Vodka

Expert Picks

Today I am speaking about an awesome product, made in the greatest of places, with the best of ingredients at the ideal time of year! Of course I am talking about Crystal Head vodka during Halloween! Crafted from 100% Canadian peaches and cream sweet corn, this ultra-smooth vodka has been distilled four times and then filtered seven times, with the final three filtrations taking place through Herkimer diamond crystals (it’s true, I have seen them with my own eyes!). You would be hard pressed to find any review of this vodka that doesn’t include the words “clean”, “pure” and/or “smooth”. Dan Aykroyd would tell us that this is due to the fact that his vodka is like this because it one of the few that is completely additive free – meaning NO added oils, NO added sugars and NO extra additions like glycerol!
I feel that this is a great time to highlight the Crystal Head vodka brand, as their most ambitious product to date is just now hitting our market – Onyx – a Blue Weber Agave infused vodka. This is not your typical vodka offering folks, as this product displays many of the unique aromas and flavours associated with high-end tequila. Picture the typical vodka citric and vanilla notes and then add in agave’s tell-tale earthy, spicy and peppery flavours. Onyx is a mixologist’s dream as it can be used wherever and whenever either vodka or tequila is required, adding hints of complexity not seen in either straight up product. It is in limited supply so I advise collectors of the brand or tequila aficionados to get it while they can!
Please enjoy responsibly!
