Exploring Light-Bodied White Wines

Expert Picks

Light bodied white wines are usually pale in colour, with delicate flavours, no oak influence and a finish that is crisply refreshing. Such wines are the specialty of cool climate regions, and in addition to being perfect aperitifs they also go great with light dishes especially shellfish, seafood and white meats.

While the majority of all Pinot Grigios (not Gris) and Sauvignon Blancs (unoaked versions) fall into the light bodied white wine category we will use this forum to explore similar styled white wines from other grape varieties.
