NLC Adjusts Operations for Corporate Liquor Stores Outside the Avalon Peninsula

February 26, 2021
St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador

The Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health announced today that areas west of the Avalon Peninsula will move to Alert Level 4, effective at midnight, while the Avalon Peninsula will remain in Alert Level 5. As such, NLC Liquor Stores west of the Avalon Peninsula will open to the public for in-store service, beginning tomorrow, February 26. Stores will open at reduced capacity. For detailed store capacity and hours of operation, please visit https://nlliquor.com/store-locator/.

As a reminder, stores on the Avalon Peninsula remain closed to the public, as we offer online/phone ordering and pick-up service only. Stores at 20 Lake Avenue, 370 Newfoundland Drive and 3 Queen Street in St. John’s and 6 Centennial Square in Mount Pearl remain closed until further notice.

To ensure the safety and well-being of staff and customers and to reduce the potential for spread of COVID-19, NLC maintains its pre-existing measures throughout stores province-wide. These include physical distancing protocols, plexiglass protection at cash lanes, enhanced cleaning, increased frequency of hand washing and the provision of hand sanitizer and masks for staff. As well, NLC requires all customers to wear a non-medical mask when shopping at its locations and requests that customers displaying flu-like symptoms not visit its stores at this time.

In addition to the measures noted above, NLC is not accepting returns for exchange at this time. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Please note that Liquor Express stores are under management of private operators. Hours of operation may vary by location. Please contact your nearest Liquor Express for details.
