Deep, intense garnet-vermilion red. The nose is powerful, rich and complex, combining ripe black fruits, a hint of vanilla, a touch of licorice and a hint of caramelized jam. When aerated, notes of spice and tobacco appear, revealing the full subtlety of this wine. The palate is full-bodied, fleshy and generous. It starts with firm tannins, which then evolve into silkiness and smoothness, giving length and power without ever being excessive. The palate reflects the aromatic complexity of the nose, with a few notes of fruit in brandy.
