Stratus White Label Red 2020

Deeply pigmented with a slight natural turbidity suggesting only very light fining and filtration. Initial aromas are of cracked pepper, creme de cassis, cherry stone, espresso, menthol, and cigar ash. After thirty minutes of aeration, cedar chest, clove, cardamon, and raspberry jam are volatized. Youthful woodiness and tightness on the palate suggesting this wine has plenty of years ahead of it. Warm alcohol and spice notes combine with toasty oak and sappy, balanced tannins. Each grape variety playing an essential role here to create a wonderfully complex and powerful wine. Bright red cherry and kirsch-like flavors, as well as rosemary and currant dominate the finish.
