Lagrein is one of the 3 indigenous varieties of South Tyrol, and it is related to Teroldego and Syrah.This wine has been aged in concrete tanks, large oak casks and 15% in small barriques. It comes from 230-350 meters above sea level and from loamy, chalky gravel with little sand. It enjoys aromas and flavours of plums, blackberries, and secondary notes of chocolate and coffee. A beautiful and elegant wine, well balanced with a fresh acidity and a lingering finish. Great with game, white and red meats and hard chesses. 92 Points – Falstaff
