The cider category has come a long way in recent years, with new style and flavour combinations popping up on a regular basis. On Friday June 3rd, 2022 we celebrate World Cider Day and encourage former and future cider fans to raise a glass in celebration! While this week’s picks are focused on Mother’s Day, all of our selectors were kind enough to include their favourite Sauvignon Blanc in honour of International Sauvignon Blanc Day (on May 6th, 2022). The added bonus – many moms really enjoy this aromatic white varietal when paired alongside the three G’s: goat’s milk cheese, green salads and grilled white fish!

Many of us have already discovered the refreshing quality of a crisp rosé on a warm summers day. As the temperatures continue to rise you will see more and more new additions to the rosé section of your local liquor store. Rosés are usually high in natural acidity making them all the more food friendly and perfect for outdoor dining (think BBQ’s and picnics). They pair well with almost everything – including spicy foods, sushi, salads, barbecued meats, roasts, and rich sauces. Check out some of our favourites below.
